Test Data Sets
Two data sets with test data are available in the Online Tool. A brief description of each data set:
- Random Test Data: This data was generated by a spreadsheet random number generator. To each element a random classification is attributed by a method that generates "x" Partitions. This data set is useful to demonstrate the difference between Rand and adjusted Rand coefficients.
- Microbial Typing Test Data: This data set corresponds to the type assignment of four different typing methods (T typing, emm typing, PFGE using SmaI restriction enzyme, PFGE using SfiI restriction enzyme) and a combination of results of two of those methods (T typing + emm typing) for 325 macrolide-resistant Streptococcus pyogenes recovered from throat swabs associated with a diagnosis of tonsillo-pharyngitis, during the period between 1998 and 2003 in Portugal (Carriço et al., 2006).
